Body Protectors are intended to reduce the severity or prevent the incidence of soft tissue or other injuries resulting from blunt trauma to the areas covered by the protector. Blunt trauma protectors are not intended to provide protection from penetrating trauma, such as blows from sharp or pointed instruments such as axes, spikes, knives, etc., although the incidence or severity of some such injuries may be slightly reduced some protection is provided from cuts by lightweight edged weapons such as craft knives, but not from heavier – bladed weapons such as Samurai and other swords.
Blunt trauma protectors do not provide ballistic protection.
Certain Arnold products in the prime range are knife resistant and this is stated in the actual product description. For detailed description of the levels of protection offered by each range please click on technical specification and user guide.
